“I am not a thing — a noun. I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process — an integral function of the universe.”
This quote often comes into to my mind, as it did this morning in my daily morning pages. (Usually written around 4:30 am in my art studio with hot Peet’s coffee by my side.)
Now, more than ever in my life, I identify with being a creative process, more than a human product. I am a human being, a human seeing, and a human instrument of a larger life.
I feel I am being carried in a living river, or what Bucky would call “an evolutionary process”, in service to this larger life. Who I am and where I am going as this verb, continues to be filled with mystery and yet ironically more certainty and deeper trust of the process.
